Travel across this great southern land that has been lying in wait for thousands of years. Discover it's magic, it's wildlife and it's culture as you traverse the vast outback, rainforests, beaches and pumping cities. Travel in air conditioned comfort with room to move around the train and access to buffet and/or lounge cars. All trains are reserved seating with plenty of leg room and some also include at seat entertainment with access to audio and/or video in the seating carriage, some even have on board showers!
There are a range of passes available so there's bound to be one to suits you to a T, plus book before you go as our prices are up to 10% cheaper than what you'll pay once you arrive in Australia!

The Backtracker Rail Pass provides access to over 360 destinations in a comfortable and economic means throughout New South Wales linking Sydney with Canberra, Broken Hill, Melbourne and Brisbane. - Passes can be purchased for consecutive day travel over 14 days, 1, 3 or 6 months. - Valid for travel on CountryLink XPT and XPLORER rail services as well as connecting coaches. - The pass also includes local Sydney CityRail travel with a DayTripper ticket (all day trains, buses and ferries in Sydney), a return ticket to Bondi Beach and two one-way tickets to The Blue Mountains. |
