The nightclub located in the hostel was really good especially as we stayed over New Years Eve. The staff were very helpful - I got sick while I was there and the satff helped me find a pharmacy and provided me with Paracetemol and also checked i was feeling better the next day. The location was also great only 5 mins from the City Centre.

The hostel is in a great location, right next to shops, bars, restaurants and tram links. It is only a short walk from a lot of Amsterdams most famous attractions. The hostel itself has a lively and friendly atmosphere. Considering what they charge to stay there it is very clean and the furniture is in very good condition. The hostel is also the only one I've been to where each room has it's own bathroom. The hostel has a restaurant and bar which is handy if you don't feel like going out. The staff on the desk were helpful and answered all our questions. We had a great time and it was really good value for money.

If you really must...

That it was only for a couple of nights, any longer and we would have just left. We were lucky it was at the end of our journey, because it would have been a very poor start. The place makes a joke about not being clean, which would normally be fine. But, we left covered in bites which could only have been from the unclean beds they had. Amsterdam was a lovely place, and the location of the hostel was nice. The hygiene was appalling and consequently, I highly recommended it as a place to avoid.

Very basic hostel, but staff wouldn't give us our key deposit back because they were 'busy' and we waited a half hour before leaving without it as we had a train to catch. Expensive for what it is, wouldn't recommend it.

The hostel is just around the corner from leidesplein so you're not too far from the action. the nearest tram back to central is jst down the road. The free breakfast is not to be sniffed at if u like ur ham and eggs! the club wasn't what i expected and wasnt as sociable as i'd hoped for as a lone traveller but if your in a group this would be a perfect place to base yourself
