We loved how water would pool in the bathroom corners from the showers, and how they refused to wash the towels regularly. Also, finding the pubic hairs on the blankets was wonderful! The neighborhood felt like something out of a Russian mob movie. it was Great, but my favorite part was that we were worried if we walked around outside at night, that we would be kidnapped. That really kept us on our toes!

The best thing about staying at The Lords was that it was right next door to the Umi, which was the departure point of my Top Deck tour.

Für all diejenigen ideal, die die meiste Zeit unterwegs sind und einfach eine zentrale, günstige Unterkunft in London zur Übernachtung suchen. Frühstück ist auch dabei, jedoch kaum nennenswert. Kaffee und Orangensaft schmecken irgendwie und das trockene Baquette mit Marmelade bleibt einem regelrecht im Hals stecken.

Great location to CBD London. Also, near great pubs (good value for money), shops, laundry facilities (only a minute walk), a few minutes walk to Bayswater and Queensgate tubes.

Das Beste an der Unterkunft war das Personal, welches immer zuvorkommend und nett war und immer bereit war zu helfen, egal ob es um die Unterkunft selbst oder mögliche Ausflugsziele ging.

Zuerst haben wir ein sehr hässliches und kleines Zimmer im Untergeschoss erhalten, mit sehr alten Fenstern und Blick auf einen Hinterhof (ca.1,5m bis zum Boden, Fenster von Außen sehr leicht zu öffnen!) Nach einigen Diskussionen an der Rezeption, haben wir ein neueres Zimmer im 2.OG bekommen. Nicht sehr groß, aber ausreichend. Für das Wechseln der Handtücher ist 1 Pfund zu bezahlen. Frühstück im Hotel ist eher langweilig (Kaffee, Tee oder Saft, 2 Brote, Butter, Marmelade. Alles andere ist extra zu bezahlen). Die Lage des Hostels ist gut, mit der U-Bahn schnell erreichbar. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in London auf jeden Fall ausreichend und relativ günstig. Außerdem ist man sehr nahe der Portobello Road.
