Excellent location serves as a good base to explore NYC!! Street outside can be noisy at times, but this didn't bother us all that much - after all it is NYC and the city that never sleeps! Breakfasts were good and staff very friendly. Very clean. Not too much in the way of facilities, but we were not there to lounge about in the hotel. I would stay there again and again... !

the best thing for us was the 15 metres to the underground which meant it was so quick to get anywhere we wanted. NYC is bigger than people think and when you're short of time it is great to get about quickly

Although a little away from the main hub of things the metro station right nnext to the hotel meant it was easy to travel around new york even for two girls by themselves. felt very safe. nice cafe adjoining the hotel and starbucks on the other corner, lots of places to eate nearby. well worth a visit

The best thing was the Soda Shop cafe next door as recommended by the hotel - perfect for the most wonderful breakfasts. The hotel rooms were well furnished and spotless with very comfortable queen beds and a small but well appointed bathroom with an abundance of beautifully soft, clean towels. The room was far more than I expected for a budget hotel; perfect for a short break for the budget conscious traveller in New York who is more interested in exploring the city than paying for additional unwanted ammenities in an expensive luxury hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring all of New York from Times Square to Lower Manhatten. Would definately go back.

The hotel doesn't have much in the way of facilities but hey your in Manhattan, get out there your not there to spend time in a hotel. We ate out anyway so didn't mind there being no restaurant and the Cosmopolitan Cafe downstairs is excellent for breakfast before you head out. It was clean and the staff were friendly when we needed them. All in all perfect for a reasonably priced stay in NYC.

This is a quiet, clean, well maintained hotel in the financial district of NYC. Not in mid-town, you need to take the subway, but worth it because it is so nice, and very quiet. Walking district to Battery Park, World Trades site, Wall Street etc. Well priced, right on the subway, easy to find and near some local eating places for meals. Free wifi, free breakfast at cafe next door, would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay in a great city

The Cosmopolitan is a great place to stay because it is close to the action of New York but far enough away for rest when you need it. The Cosmopolitan is very close to the subway, at the door in fact is Chambers street station. Transport is cheap and very regular if you miss one train don't worry another will be along any minute. The hotel could perhaps provide long time stayers with an iron and ironing board though however it was very good I have no overall complaints.
