The position of the hotel was great, as you could walk into the centre of Paris. But the hotel was really not good; noisy at night, pokey, too small and not particularly impressive facilities

The best thing about this hotel is that it is located very near a wonderful restaurant called Brasserie Flo (Rue de Faubourg St Honore 63). We went there for lunch and dinner and it has set menus that are good value and amazing food. The other good point was that the transport connections were very good and that it is literally ten minutes walk to Gare du Nord. Finally the people at the reception we helpful enough.

first night a double bed to share with my 14 year old daughter too full to change on arrival, next day we were given a double and single bed as well as a bath. This was wonderful as it was very cold 7C. Hydronic heating very efficient had to turn it off in the room at night too hot. Breakfast was cup of tea coffee or hot chocolate with a bread roll and croissant it was a bit light on. supermarket across the road which was very handy.

The location is near Paris Est train station and only a 10 minute walk to Paris Nord train station. Near St Canal, new thriving area, and only a 5 minute metro ride to central Paris. The room was clean although paint work was old. The street was busy at times but the noise was locked out by the windows. Good in October. It is a different part of Paris but the Hotel is fine for the budget traveller.

Would have been a dissappointment if not for the beautiful balcony view over the Paris skyline. Close to shops and a main metro station.

The Reception people where friendly and our breakfast waiter was too, that is about all the good we could say. The area feels very unsafe, especially for women on their own.
