Need to Know

How it Works

Passes are valid for three months from the date of your departure – 2 months for the section between Sydney and Noosa and 1 month between Noosa and Cairns.
Travel is in private mini coaches between Sydney and Noosa, and local bus and train (plus ferry to Magnetic Island) between Noosa and Cairns.
Guides travel on all routes on the set departure days – but you can travel on the train on other days without a guide. You can only access unique transfers and activities when travelling with the guide.
There is a minimum of three departures per week over all routes.

Your ‘pass’ includes all transport over the route which may include private buses, public buses, trains or boats. Some local activities are included in the pass price but not accommodation or meals (as all passes are flexible and you choose where you stay and for how long).

HOP-ON HOP-OFF

You can stay on one trip with the same group and travel in the minimum time or spend longer by getting on and off at different places.

PREPLAN OR WING IT

Accommodation and recommended activities can be booked in advance via the app or website or while you’re travelling via the guide. At remote stops – Barrington Tops Farm Stay, River Stay, Indigenous Camp and Cattle Station Experience – there is a set price of A$60 for dinner, bed, breakfast and a local activity.

WHAT’S FOR DINNER?

In most overnight stops you can self-cater, however in some of the remote stops meals are included in the night rate, with vegetarian/gluten free options available.

The Stops

Barrington Tops Farm

Here you’ll stay at a private lodge overlooking the World Heritage Listed Barrington River. There are loads of activities to get involved in from floating in an inner-tube, fishing for your dinner to mountain biking!

Secret Surf Camp

Stay at a remote beach camp hosted by local surfers. Learn to surf (surf lesson included when travelling northbound), relax on the beach, make new friends and get amongst the laid back Aussie surf culture!

Native Camp

You’ll be met by local Aboriginals and travel into the dense rainforest of Tully Gorge National Park. Explore ‘Misty Falls’ where you can ride inner tubes down the river. After dark go ‘spotlighting’ for tree kangaroos before enjoying enchanting evening of dreamtime stories around a campfire.

Off the Grid River Camp

Leave the tourist trail behind and get into kayaks and paddle up stream to your riverside camp, located in an inlet in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. There are fishing lines available so you can catch fish or crab for dinner!

Magnetic Island

Take a round-trip ferry to the beautiful tropical Magnetic Island where you’ll stay at a beautiful beachside lodge. There is much to explore on the island, as nearly 70% of it is National Park with amazing beaches and abundant wildlife.

Aussie Cattle Station

Spend a night on a remote working cattle station. You’ll stay in traditional swags giving you the option to sleep under shelter or under the stars. There is the option to go on a horse trek or a walk around the vast property.
