Accommodation terms & conditions

Online bookings
Online bookings can only be made at least five days prior to departure. Your order is subject to confirmation by STA Travel. In the unlikely event that your order cannot be completed, STA Travel will notify you by email or telephone within two working days. If you wish to book within five days, you will need to contact directly by phone on 0508 782 547.  Please note that this may be subject to additional fees due to hotel charges.

Change rules
If this booking is changed, you will be charged a change fee of $50 plus any additional accommodation charges. All changes must be made at no later than one week prior to the start date.

What happens after your online booking is made?
1. You will receive a confirmation email from STA Travel
2. The full payment will be taken by STA Travel for the duration of your accommodation booking
3. You will be sent a follow up email with your accommodation voucher. IMPORTANT: You must present this voucher when you check-in to your accommodation. If you lose the voucher and need it re-issued you may be charged an additional fee.


Notes about your voucher

Unless otherwise advised in writing, STA Travel is the co-ordinator of the services to be provided by this voucher and acts only as an agent between the passenger and the principal supplier.
All services are subject to conditions of the contract, any restrictions and endorsements written on the voucher, any regulations of the principal supplier of the services and any other conditions advised in writing. All services are specified on the voucher and any extras should be directly paid for to the supplier.
STA Travel is not responsible for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses arising out of injury, accident or death, damage to or loss of baggage or property, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment or frustration arising from:

a) The act of omission of any party
b) Mechanical breakdown, government actions, weather or any factors beyond the controls of STA Travel
c) The passenger’s failure to obtain any necessary documentation
d) The passenger’s failure to follow all instructions including, but not limited to, those regarding check-in, check-out, baggage handling
e) The cancellation or alteration for any reason of the travel service offered
f) Any physical disabilities and any medical or health related problems experienced by the passenger.

Cancellation details
If you cancel outside 72 hours prior to departure, refunds will be subject to a STA Travel administration fee of $50 per person per property plus one nights accommodation in addition to any charge levied by the hotel.
No refund is due for a cancellation within 72 hours of arrival date.
If you wish to cancel, this must be done through STA Travel.
Cancellations may not be made with the hotel direct.

Please note that amendments to your booking will be easier and cheaper if processed through the original issuing office prior to departure.  Vouchers can be re-issued for a fee of $20.
