Stray

Stray Australia

Freestyle Australian Adventures

Stray Australia is like being on an epic road trip with mates, where you can also stay longer anywhere you want. Take your time through the travel days and stop for secret spots, walks, swimming holes, supermarkets, and amazing views and to check out some of Australia’s crazy wildlife. You can access all of the hot spots (Fraser Island, Great Barrier Reef) as well as local, hidden gems – a tipi camp, a remote Aussie farm, and an overnight in a tropical rainforest with Aborigines! Stray isn’t about reaching the end destination – it’s about the extraordinary experiences along the way with a group of new friends from all over the world.

How It Works

Your 'pass' includes all transport over the route which may include private buses, public buses, trains or boats. Some local activities are included in the pass price but not accommodation or meals (as all passes are flexible and you choose where you stay and for how long).

Hop-On Hop-Off

You can stay on one trip with the same group and travel in the minimum time or spend longer by getting on and off at different places.

Preplan or Wing It

Accommodation and recommended activities can be booked in advance via the app or website while you're travelling via the guide. At remote stops – Barrington Tops Farm Stay, River Retreat, Indigenous Camp and Country Campout – thee is a set price for meals, accommodation, and activities where applicable.

What's for dinner?

In most overnight stops you can self-cater, however in some of the remote stops meals are included in the night rate, with vegetarian/gluten free options available.
