Auckland and the Northland

Auckland and Northland have a lot to offer. Take to the water in the "City of Sails", enjoy 360˚ views at Auckland’s Sky Tower, or get your adrenaline pumping on the Sky Jump. Further out, Zip-line through Waiheke Island or get your hiking boots on and explore Waitakere Ranges. Venture north to swim with dolphins at the Bay of Islands and venture to Cape Reinga to see two oceans collide.

Wellington is New Zealand’s culinary and cultural capital, and boasts the most visited museum in the Southern Hemisphere, Te Papa. Ride the old-school Wellington Cable Car, then sit back, relax and pour yourself a nice glass of New Zealand's finest wine.Take the ferry across to the South Island and explore the Marlborough region.

Queenstown and Milford Sound

There are many different ways to get your adrenaline fix in  Queenstown: hang-gliding, skydiving, rafting or mountain biking are just a few of them. Hike up Bob’s Peak and ride the Skyline Gondola for picturesque vistas. The town is also popular amongst skiers and snowboarders during winter. At Milford Sound you can spot playful seals and dolphins from a catamaran and trek through Fjordland.

If you’re a British passport holder, you can travel New Zealand as a tourist for up to 6 months without a visa. If you’re planning on exploring this awesome country longer than 6 months of have plans to work whilst travelling, you will need to apply for a visa.

As temperatures only vary by about 10ºC between winter and summer, New Zealand is well worth visiting any time of year. However, if you’re a lover of skiing or snowboarding you’ll want to head over to New Zealand between June and September to benefit from the country’s fantastic slopes.
